AAM 2 is back on track, and up for sale to fund 2027

After 133 days, a fresh engine rebuild by Peterbuilt and new gearboxes from Excel Garage, AAM 2 is back on track in the Queensland Excel Cup.

It will be the last round we run this car. It will then be offered for sale with a full, complete race package: a competitive, fully rebuilt Excel prepared by the crew at JP Sports. All proceeds go straight back into All Access Motorsport to fund our 2027 inclusion program and new charity activations.

QRDC Round 2 recap: Excel Cup

Not the result we wanted, but motorsport has a way of teaching you exactly what you're made of. A massive thank you to our round contributor Rachel from Accessible Racing Life, whose platform challenges the idea that people living with disability should ever settle for less.

Racing under lights at the Nankang Excel Cup

Qualifying and Race 1 of QRDC Round 2 ran under lights at Queensland Raceway. Four races in a day, with a little friendly fire between teammates to keep things interesting.

QRDC Round 1: the most important laps happened off track

Driver Ben Dowton had one of those weekends, not quite where we wanted to be on the wheel. But we spent time building real connections with other teams in the paddock, and those conversations are already opening doors for more people to experience motorsport up close, hands on and without barriers.

Community Contributors launched

The racetrack should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or budget. Our three Community Contributor tiers, Supporter, Pit Crew and Champion, let anyone back the team in a way that works for them. Every dollar brings someone closer to a racetrack they never thought they'd reach.

AAM 2 rebuild: from bare shell to wrapped and running

The team pushed hard through a reshell (chassis swap) to get the car back on track for May. Dan and Justin put in big hours to get it panelled and aligned, the wrap went on, the engine and gearbox went in, then suspension, dash and wiring loom. Big thanks to JP Sports, Team64 Motorsport, the Grimsleys and everyone who helped.

Structure, ACNC and DGR applications lodged

We established our not-for-profit structure, submitted our ACNC registration application and lodged for DGR status, moving us closer to funding, meaningful partnerships and more people in pit lane.
